Puretone spectacle devices are specially made hearing devices that are built into spectacle frames for ease of use. They are available in two types: air conduction and bone conduction. Air conduction devices amplify sound and feed this sound into the ear via a link tube. Bone conduction uses a vibrating pad to pass the sound into the inner ear via the mastoid bone. Spectacle hearing aids offer ease of use for users who require both glasses and a hearing instrument.
