Puretone To Introduce ESP II With PureFit NOAH Software

Puretone Plc are pleased to announce the forthcoming launch of their digitally programmable ESP II range of hearing instruments. The ESP range provides flexible first time fittings and incorporates Wide Dynamic Range Compression, allowing quieter sounds to be heard, but having little gain at high sound levels where the hearing impaired do not generally require amplification. This has two benefits. Firstly, it provides the listener with a comfortable sound level at all times; secondly, the compression keeps the signal at a reasonable level and prevents the instrument from going into distortion, far beyond the point where linear instruments would do. The ESP range features two independent, fully adjustable channels, which allow the instrument to be programmed to suit the hearing loss as accurately as possible. Until now, this set-up was carried out at Puretone's Rochester based factory, but the introduction of ESP II changes this. Equipped with a NOAH fitting foundation, PureFit module and NOAH HiPro box, the hearing professional can programme the instrument "In-The-Field" with a single, automatic operation. With the user wearing the hearing instrument and providing verbal feedback, the instrument can be tailored to exact requirements first time, every time.

Another introduction to the range is the ESP 'P', providing true PP power to both ESP & ESP II models. Available in Full Concha (Wonder Ear) and BTE models, the instrument will have the facility for four memories, to allow the user to further maximise the potential of the ESP range of devices.

Among the new additions to Puretone's accessory range this month are:

PureClean, a hearing aid cleansing spray designed to remove wax. The 75ml aerosol also has an integral brush to maximise efficiency. Cat. No: ACC309

PureGuard disposible waxguards. Supplied in packs of 15 and available in red or blue, these waxguards can easily be fitted by the user, using the fitting tool provided. Cat. No: ACC315A (blue) ACC315B (red)

A handy, keyring-sized Digital Battery Tester is now available, suitable for all types of hearing aid battery. Cat. No: ACC227D
