Small Beginnings...
In 1976, disillusioned with working for
a large multi-national electronics firm, M. J. Choudhry - Jay to
his friends and customers (most of whom are his friends) - decided
to go it alone. From these humble beginnings, Puretone has
become one of the UK's premier manufacturers of quality hearing
aids, tinnitus devices and faceplate kits, with products being exported
to over 60 countries worldwide. |

Onward And Upward...
In 1987, expansion forced the Tonbridge-based
company to move to larger premises in the historic town of Rochester,
where economic growth continued unabated. With help from his
son Baz, the company began to take shape. 1999 saw the opening
of a second building - devoted entirely to the manufacture of earmoulds
and custom shells - and in 2000 the original Rochester site was
expanded to twice its size to cope with the ever-increasing demand.
In 2006 Puretone further expanded their
product range by taking over the manufacturing
and development of Audimed tinnitus devices.
2006 was also the year that saw Puretone
secure exclusive distriubutorship of the
Hansaton range of hearing instruments in
the UK & Ireland. Expansion also continued
on the company’s website, with a secure
online ordering facility being introduced
both for retail and trade customers. |
